Fred Harvey Era Green Turquoise Pin Brooch Fold Over Clasp - Vintage
This is a really old pin from the Fred Harvey Era. It has the original C-clasp indicating that it was made before safety clasps became widespread in the late 1920's to early 30's. The turquoise is a rich green with a soft brown matrix. I have left the dark patina as found, but it could be polished brighter if you prefer.
Fred Harvey operated hospitality stops, hotels and cafes, along the railroads to the southwest. Adventuring tourists brought home the romance of rail travel through the wild west with these keepsakes made by the "peaceful Indians" there. This is truly a piece of American History. Unsigned which is typical of these older pieces.

Care Instructions
Protect your jewelry from harsh chemicals and solvents as they can damage turquoise and other stones. I recommend using a Sunshine Cloth or similar to polish your silver. Do not immerse or subject your jewelry to running water as it can dislodge the stone from the setting.
