Vintage Crazy Horse Squash Blossom Necklace Navajo Signed - NE
Isn't this Squash Blossom just incredible?? It's so rare to find one with anything other than turquoise... and this one is a beauty! This is Crazy Horse which is combination of Magnesite and Hematite. It was only found in the Gila Wilderness of Arizona, but the mine was closed after only a few years. The veining in Crazy Horse varies in color from a light reddish brown to purple to black. The darker, more defined matrix is the most rare and valued. This is a vintage piece which is evident in both quality and construction. The beads are all handmade by soldering two half domes together, which is a very time-consuming process. It's strung on foxtail chain (not nylon coated steel wire) and weighs a hefty 224 grams. It's signed NE and sterling, but I do not recognize the hallmark
Measurements: The necklace measures 30" end to end. The naja measures 3 1/8" x 3 1/4" Happy to answer any questions.

Protect your jewelry from harsh chemicals and solvents as they can damage turquoise and other stones. I recommend using a Sunshine Cloth or similar to polish your silver. Do not immerse or subject your jewelry to running water as it can dislodge the stone from the setting.
